There is no magic wand that will fix our economic challenges. On May 23rd, we woke up to a list of Legislators who were successful in the polls. They will spend some time getting organized and getting down to work. For most of us life will continue as it has been with the usual preparations for the Hurricane Season and the daily challenges of Business and Personal development.
The challenges facing our nation and also the region, High Unemployment levels and the rising Cost of Living, are serious in nature and cannot be resolved overnight. The nature of these issues require thorough, methodical solutions, that will be developed from input and feedback provided by all stake holders.
We will need to exercise patience. However, the urgency of these solutions must be at the fore front and the residents of the Cayman Islands must be custodians of our future success and hold our chosen legislators accountable to their promises and responsibilities.
